I have been an avid baseball fan for much of my life. My journey through fandom as taken me from Philadelphia to Atlanta to Cleveland to New York back to Philly and finally back to Cleveland. As as Indians fan for the last five or so years of my life, I have struggled to watch as they have gone from a mediocre ball club to almost making the World Series in 2007 and back to a very mediocre team since then. But I still maintain that Cleveland has some of the best sports fans in world. And I am certain that out of all the major American sports, baseball has the best fans in the world.
Most of us have dreamed of becoming a pro baseball player some time in our lives. Some as kids playing Little League, others watching the World Series on television, and even some playing ball in high school or college. But as reality set in, we realized that becoming a Major Leaguer was just not going to happen. And then for many, something even worse happened. We gave up the sport completely! I have written this blog not only to project my love for baseball, but also to help those of us who would like to either revive or improve our baseball skills.
